Changes in store.

Every January - March, I take a break. Part of it’s the weather (BAD!), part of it is the need to recharge and rest, and a big part of it is something else.

22 years ago when I said goodbye to corporate life, I vowed to myself that I would not live a life like that again. By that I mean being on somebody else’s schedule, doing work in the timeframe that somebody else wanted it done, putting work above ALL else.

In short, I wanted to live life my way. I mean, what’s the point of having your own business if you turn it into your next corporate job, only this time you’re the mean boss?

And that’s the main reason that I close for a few months: to spend time with Steve and (now) Lucy, to visit my parents without working around a schedule, to take off on spur of the moment weekends away, and to spend some time in quality sunshine, and sometimes to spend an entire day in sweats with a good book.

And it’s also time to putter around in the store. I love changing it every year because I want it to be a surprise for you every time you walk in. A good surprise of course. Here are some before photos. I’ll post some afters as soon as I have them.
